Work has started in Spencer Yard on the south bank of the River Leam to convert old church buildings into a cultural quarter. The project is part of the regeneration of Leamington's Old Town and will provide a base for dance, drama and other arts organisations to enable talented
people in our community to develop businesses in our town. There will be opportunities for education, performance and display, making full use of the attractive riverside location and the courtyard behind the church. Future plans involve a restaurant and riverside walk with access from the Colonnade opposite the Pump Rooms and Centerparks are considering proposals to develop a spa treatment centre in the old church.

Cllr Margaret Begg commented, " The Council has obtained money from regional government as well as the Single Regeneration Budget which funds all Regenesis projects. This should be a tremendous asset for everyone in the area providing opportunities to set up new enterprises and enjoy the arts."
