Public Consultation - County Mineral Policy

Events are being held to encourage public consultation on the future of Warwickshire's development framework for sustainable mineral extraction. Issues include sand and gravel extraction, minerals for the manufacture of cement and mining operations and how these should be planned over the next 15 years.
Warwickshire County Council has produced a questionnaire which is available from local district council offices and libraries or on line at the address given at the end of this article.
A public consultation event is being held at Manor Hall, Leamington on the 2nd September between 10am and 1pm, where people will be given the chance to ask council officers questions. Officers will also be available to answer questions at drop in sessions at Warwick Library on the 8th September between 9am and 5:30pm.
