Alan works for a local IT company as a project manager and has lived in Warwick and Leamington for 15 years. His 25 years computer engineering and project management experience has given him the opportunity to work with a broad range of industries within the UK, and overseas. He has two children, one at university and the other doing an apprenticeship with a firm in Leamington.
Alan has always maintained a keen interest in politics, but it was the events leading up to the Iraq war that inspired him to become politically active. His belief in politics based on liberal values and principles fuel his political appetite as the Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate.
Alan has a record of action standing up for our local community on issues such as residents' parking, Warwick Hospital, the fire service, and our local schools where he is a governor. When not at work or on doorsteps talking to the local community, Alan enjoys spending time with his family, music, travel and skiing. He also applies his professional skills to the arts where his interest in music technology enable him to engage with local musicians helping them to develop their sound.
Talking about the area he has made his home Alan said, "We have a diverse and thriving economy, a vibrant range of arts and recreation and some of the best parks in the country. I want to do my bit to make sure our towns remain fantastic places to live in; and I want to make sure our children get the best start in life so they can continue to enjoy living here."
