The District Council has agreed to transfer the ownership and maintenance of the War Memorial in Euston
Place to Royal Leamington Spa Town Council.
This will simplify the process of adding the missing names to the memorial. Currently 16 names are waiting to be added. The Town Council proposes to put stone plaques into the ground next to the memorial to increase capacity.
Cllr David Greenwood said, "It is welcome news that the war memorial is returning after 37 years to the care of the town. The work will be completed for Remembrance Day."
