At the recent Safer Neighbourhoods meeting, the panel agreed to provide funds to employ Community Support Officers to patrol the routes home from the town centre on Friday and Saturday nights up to Easter and to enable the Town Council to employ contractors to clean up graffiti.

Cllr David Greenwood, who chairs the panel commented, "Through this sort of action we can cut crime and improve the quality of life for Leamington residents. The consultation also highlighted litter and speeding traffic as significant problems."

"Following the success of the speed indicator on Northumberland Road, it was agreed that we should investigate the possibility of erecting further signs on main roads in Milverton." David added.

Cllr Margaret Begg will discuss with both District and Town Councils ways of making advice easily available to residents who wish to get rid of graffiti on their own property.
