No Council Tax increase for Leamington Council

2.28.57pm GMT Sun 1st Mar 2009

Leamington Town Council's council tax will not increase in 2009 / 2010 because of the careful management of the Liberal Democrat administration.

At the same time the Council has increased its grant to the Citizens Advice Bureau over £4000 to support the 'CAB Local' project which gives help and advice to families who are feeling the effects of the credit crunch.

Cllr Eithne Goode commented 'In times of recession it is up to local authorities to do their bit by keeping council tax as low as possible as well as helping residents in the greatest need.'
